    Miss College Majorette

If you meet the following qualifications, you are welcome to compete for the title, “Miss College Majorette.”

· A member of the World Twirling Association
· A student at a school of higher education (beyond high school) or a graduate of a school of higher education
(within one year of the competition)

What to do?

Give a presentation that would be comparable to that of a halftime show.  A standard baton must be used along with dance, strut, and/or novelties.  This routine must be choreographed to marching band style music; band music from a contestant’s own school band or any other college band would be appropriate.

Appear before the judges in your majorette costume for an interview.

Judging:

For the performance, judging will be based on the over-all show presentation and entertainment value and not on difficulty of tricks as in a standard solo twirling routine.

For the interview, contestants will be scored on Responses, Voice, Composure, Grooming, and Personality.

When?

This competition will be held in July at the World Majorette Festival.  Come represent your school!
